Extended Day is offered to children in the morning sessions of Preschool 1, Preschool 2 and Pre-K as an extension of their day allowing them to stay until 3PM and is inclusive of Lunch Bunch. Children must be 2.9 or older to attend. Families sign up for 1-4 days for the entire school year.
The children who attend Extended Day are picked up from Lunch Bunch and head off to their classroom where they take time to brush their teeth and use the bathroom. The kids then have a bit of down time with a story book on tape. For the remainder of their day, the kids are offered activities that they normally do not get to do during their regular class session. The kids enjoy making Slime, making Tye Dye Play Dough, Cooking various things, doing Science Experiments and making group art displays. The children also get an extra gross motor time as well as snack.
